An exploration of earth,

I am a Los Angeles–based artist working at the intersection of the contemporary and the ancient. In my practice, I explore the timeless language of clay — combining modern sensibility with the primal, meditative rhythm of handcraft.

I’m drawn to movement, fluid lines, and organic forms that echo the quiet harmony of nature.

My practice centers on the dialogue between material, movement, and emotion. I seek to capture the quiet rhythm of nature through fluid lines and organic forms that feel both grounded and alive.

Working with traditional hand-building techniques, I never know what my hands will create from the clay. The process is intuitive and unpredictable — a conversation rather than control. Each piece carries the trace of touch: the softness of the hand, the uneven edge, the subtle imperfection that makes it human. Much of my work remains unglazed, preserving the raw tactility and honesty of the material.

The Mojave Desert is a profound source of inspiration in my work. I gather sand and stones from its vast, silent landscape and blend them into the clay body. The desert’s textures — its windswept ridges, sun-bleached tones, and stillness — live within the surface of each piece. Through these materials, I seek to capture its quiet strength and timeless presence, allowing the earth itself to become part of the story.

Through simplicity of form and a restrained palette, I aim to evoke calmness and connection — an invitation to slow down and feel the quiet presence of the material itself.
